mamas and papas optic pramette - cleaning???

Any one know if i can put the footmuff in the washing machine and is it ok to wash the seat and hood? if so what with????

It covered in squashed biscuits and snot!!!!!!

hand wash it. Especially the optic fabric as it may discolour.
