Galt Playnest and Gym - really from birth?

I like the idea of one of those doughnut things, but also a baby gym. I saw this one today in Tesco, and it sounds like a great combination, but do wonder about the whole from birth thing.
Galt. Does the baby look a tad uncomfortable? Anybody used it from birth? Or should I get it (secondhand prob!) on the basis that I won't be putting a 1 wk old newborn in it anyway?

I had one of those and tried it from birth but did not really use it much until bit later on. i found that there was not enough space for newborn to lie down in it and when propped up with head on edge they just flopped to the side in an uncomfortable position.

It was good for a while, from few months old until got mobile and just climbed out of it.

For from birth I have found the flat play gyms better. Sort of like this one (although the one I had was a different brand)
