My 14 month old dd is obsessed with the play kitchen at our playgroup and I would like to get her one for christmas - my dp wants to get a wooden one, but I think she will hurt her fingers in the cupboard doors - any recommendations? thanks

Have just posted above you re this. Have just ordered one from Verbaudet. It's wooden, very pretty and very very cheap. There's an additional 25% off christmas catalogue at the moment so I got a sink, cooker, apron set, two boxes of wooden food for £45.

We have a wooden one from Letterbox and both my dd's love it (3y and 18m). We did have a plastic one for the 3 year old but she used to stand on it and I was scared that it would collapse.

The little tikes country kitchen is fantastic, but only if you have the room (and the money!!)

We got it the other year for our girls, it was £99.99 in Toysrus reduced to around £60

It has lots of play value, has a cooker part, dishwasher. microwave, hob and a big cupboard to put everything in which I found great!!! No play food lying round everywhere!!

Also ahs a folding table. Is well worth the money

What are people like? somebody has just paid £132 for a second hand one on E Bay!!!!!!!!!!!!

The double up Kitchen looks nice

Little tikes are worth the money, some of the others may not be as strong and can tip easily, these are sturdy and last for years
