Any ideas?
Not prepared to pay £250 for a frame alone as seen in Blooming Marvellous!. Would prefer a white wooden single bed but a metal one would also be ok.
Thanks shopping gurus!

IKEA?
They do a lovely metal daybed thingy (closed at three sides.)

Or buy a pine one and paint it.

we bought a pine one and i intend to paint it (have sanded it ready)

MT - Like it!
Enid - can't be arsed painting if I can avoid it but may yet go there.
Moondog - Wondered about the Ikea bed. Can a day bed be used as a proper bed with the right matress?
Much to consider. Many thanks my retail amigos!

I saw the IKEA bed - looks lovely - my dd is a bit young at the moment. Mothercare also has a 'girly/princess' white set - looks really sweet - only seen it in the catelogue - not the flesh so to speak!

How old is your dd? Ikea also do an adorable extendable iron bed. Terribly sweet.

Aloha,
She's very nearly 3 and in a lovely white cot bed at the mo. However I'm 6 weeks pregnant and (please God) will be needing to use the cot again next year! Also, she's tall and needs a bit more space than the cot bed offers!

I think the Ikea extendable bed goes out to close on single bed length so would be fine for years yet. It's close to the ground so easy to get in or out of.
What's the most you are happy to pay?

White Ikea Extendable Beds...

Vikare

Minnen it's showing the black option on the link, I can't make it stay on the white. Stupid website.

OoooOh, thanks!
The Ikea ones look really good - the wood and the metal!
I'd be happy to pay about £250 in total for matress and bed. Is that really mean??

We have just bought the Vikare bed for our dd who is now 7 and I reckon she'll fit in the middle length for years yet so it's great if you have a small room. We also brought the white net canopy that Ikea do which looks lovely (very princess like)and is only a fiver!!
