Bike carrier for my Renault Scenic

Does anyone have a bike carrier on their Renault Scenic please?

What do I need to be aware of when choosing what type of carrier to have?

We have one on the roof "Thule" but it depends which modle you have and sunroofs ect.. We have the bars then you buy the carries to fit on the top. We have two that lock and two that don't. We put the two that lock on the outside then no one can get any of the bikes off. Halfords ones are often the same as the thule.

With the thule one when you change the car you just buy different feet for the bars.

Another option is one that goes on a tow bar.

I haven't had one that straps on the back as you can't get in the boot once you have the bikes on. And I have seen lots of bikes that don't look very secure on them
