Im thinking of buying either the Pliko quattro travel system which includes pliko p3 pushchair, carseat and the mypod(carrycot) or the pliko pramette which is a pliko pushchair which converts in to a pram by unzipping the seat material and folding it over...anyway has anyone got one of these or even just the pliko pushchair, would you recommend them oh and would they be suitable for a buggy board??? also are they very heavy?
Many thanks

Hi destiny - don't know if you have decided yet (only just seen this) but we have a Pramette which has been fab. It's not too heavy and folds quite compactly for a pram (free standing as well).

Friend of mine had the quattro and loved it at first but found it too heavy to take in and out of the car so no longer uses it (has bought a Pulse lightweight buggy).

Don't know about buggy boards but I imagine it would be ok as there is nothing too unusual about it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that in pushchair mode it can only be forward facing and I would prefer to be able to see dd. Apart from that it's pretty much perfect.

In fact, because of the non-rear facing thing, I am going to sell it ( just waiting for new pram to arrive). So if you want a cheap one in decent condition, let me know.

Destiny - another vote for the pramette here. I love(d) it. DD was teeny when born (4 lbs 9) and it was mid winter (bit of scene setting here !) and it was perfect in pram mode - not heavy and v. manoeuvreble (sp?!). For me, I didn't wnat anything too big and bulky which the m&p systems with carry cot always look to me whereas the pramette is v. compact. I converted it to pushchair mode at about 3 months and dd loves looking out. I have since bought a light weight buggy as well but still use the pramette in pushchair mode some of the time (the shopping basket is ace !). On the weight side, I was lifting it regularly in and out of the car from about 4 weeks post cesaerian and once or twice before this with no probs and I'm quite little too so it must be lightish !!

I have friends who have a buggy board on the pliko (an slighty older version but don't think this makes a difference) with no problems.

I always find I ramble on about plikos which I guess shows how much I like it !! Howevr, have you been somewhere you can look at both ? We went to a big m&p shop and looked at the options (but then bought it on line cheaper !!).
