LadySherlockofLGJ · 06/11/2005 18:42

DS got this last year and it really pissed me off

WigWamBam · 06/11/2005 18:43

That's just appalling, LGJ; I would definitely have been unhappy with that!

marne · 06/11/2005 18:43

Thought the bacon strips are funny, god knows who would buy them though.

WigWamBam · 06/11/2005 18:44

I wonder if they're labelled "Not Suitable for Vegetarians" ...

Lonelymum · 06/11/2005 18:45

Not giving anything away here, but I was in JL yesterday and they had some dead ringers for your link LGJ. All I could think of was Mumsnet!

Have to say my DS would be fasinated by the Owl puke book.

Lonelymum · 07/11/2005 08:50

Skribble, I don't know that there is a book involved. What I saw for sale was owl puke itself!

zippitippitoes · 07/11/2005 08:54

I think it's a scientific kit with tweezers a dish etc to examine the pellet and a book talking about biology owl and it's make up

the word puke is just there for the 'orrible element as a marketing ploy

Skribble · 07/11/2005 12:29

Owl puke is fasinating it has allsorts of bones and bits of mice and stuff in. Its the kind of disgusting things boys (and girls) love as do dads .

moondog · 07/11/2005 12:33

Love the concept, hate the name which encourages silly behaviour and general squeamishness so endemic in British kids.

An owl sometimes leaves pellets on our garden wall.It is fascinating to rehydrate them in water to see what they contain.
Found a whole tiny little skeleton once.
