Insect repellent for babies?

Hello! This is my first post, I finally took the plunge and signed up to mumsnet! I've been meaning to for a while after hearing it mentioned so much on Radio 2 as they always say good things about it, but kept forgetting until I actually wanted some advice of my own, and suddenly remembered!

Anways, on to my problem!

I am taking a trip to France with my ten-month-old in a few weeks. I've never been to France before. I suffer badly with insect bites (they love me!) so I used insect repellent a lot, but now I need an insect repellent for babies.

I am looking for a DEET free repellent so that it will not harm my baby.

A friend recommended OnGuard as a good natural insect repellent, but as this is obviously an important decision, I was wondering if anyone else has used OnGuard on their babies, and if so, does it work?

Many thanks, I look forward to reading your replies!

I'm off now to explore some more of this HUGE site! I can see myself spending a lot of time here Smile

we have used Jungle Formula which is suitable from 6 months. You can get it in the supermarket/boots, etc
