Buggy naps in summer

My 3 month baby currently will only take his daytime naps in his buggy parked in the hallway (a bugaboo bee, laid flat, in a cosy "baby cocoon") - yes, bad habit etc etc but there we are! However as the weather gets warmer the fleecy thing is soon going to get too hot, and also too small, for him to sleep in the house.

I planned to get a footmuff/cosytoes (not necessarily the bugaboo one which seems ridiculously expensive) when he got bigger but I'm assuming this will make him too hot as well - he already is just wearing a vest and trousers to sleep in so can't really reduce clothing layers.

Are there any products out there that would cover him - to make him feel sleepy and cosy - but not overheat him?

Haven't yet dared to think about the other problem in this plan which will come when lying the pram flat means his legs dangle off the end....

Just pop a muslim over him to get him to sleep and feel like he is covered.
