Portable DVD player - use in car

DD nearly 3 very distracting on car journeys. Worry we will crash as hard to concentrate on road with madam in the back.

Thinking about getting her a portable DVD player which she can have on her knee. Not keen on the ones that are fixed to seat back as suspect they will encourage burglers to break into our car. She enjoys playing with her leap pad.

Anyone tried a portable DVD player?

We use one on long journey's with our DD (also 3). They're great - not a peep out of her -except to tell me what is coming on next!!!

We have one - a pretty cheap Medion brand from Toys R Us. It's great, comes with all the leads to connect to the cigarette lighter in the car. We had it last Christmas for dd and it's in constant use.

we use one that fits on the rasied bit in the well - you can detach it and hide it in teh boot quite easily.

ds2 is 4 and loves it , ds1 isn't bothered

Godsend Godsend Godsend - my long journeys were hellish before we had one of these!

Ours comes with a soft case and straps and clips so you can put around the headrests, then unclip it and hide in the boot when not in the car, or it just sits on ds's knees.
