I brought the Nitty gritty comb last week, its FAB!! It gets all the tiny tiny lice out that I would have missed with the plastic one.

The HV might only be able to prescribe the plastic ones but the GP should be able to prescribe the nitty gritty ones, as far as I know.

Surfermum · 31/10/2005 20:32

Sorry, I don't have a code. You could try your GP. I was talking to mine about them tonight and telling him how great they are. He said they were given them as free samples. Worth every penny though, I couldn't believe what I got out that the plastic one hadn't.

gigglinggoblin · 31/10/2005 20:33

if gp can prescribe it then i think hv should be able to but she says that our area do a bug buster kit which is the most effective on the market and that is all they are allowed to prescribe. its rubbish im sure but i cant be bothered with these people, they irritate me too much to spend time arguing!

dont mind buying one, but i have never used any of the codes i have seen on here so thought i'd give it a go as this place seems to know everything

'These people'?

charliecat · 31/10/2005 23:29

they sell them on ebay for just under a tenner. Is that cheap or dear. 3 for 2 as well on one auction so if you were chipping in with friends LOL

gigglinggoblin · 01/11/2005 15:37

thanks charliecat, have found a website that does them for £7.99. am sure they are worth it anyway judging by what has been said about them on here

jmb1964 - 'these people' = people who are supposed to be there to help you but in fact just get a god complex and think they are in charge of you and talk complete and utter rubbish and refuse to listen to you even when you are right and they are wrong. not hv in general, just annoying ones like that
