I'm looking for one of those plastic type, funny shaped balls that shake and vibrate when the baby holds them.I've seen them on tv programmes and they look really fun.Does anyone know what I mean and where I can get one, please?
TIA.

They're meant to be from 18 months I think, but I got one for DS when he was less than 12 months. I got his from Woolies I think.

monstersmummy · 30/10/2005 14:01

googled bumble ball and found this oops!

bubbaloo · 30/10/2005 14:11

That's really helpful,thanks.

Ds is only 5 months but I'm sure he would love a mini one.

Don't be surprised if your DS is terrified of it though -friend had one , I thought it was great but when I showed DD (not sure what age she was at the time) she freaked !
DS is like that at the moment with a spaceship toy hes got

jabberwitchy · 30/10/2005 16:14

Ds had a little plastic puppy that vibrated and barked. He was absolutely terrified. I thought it was just him, gave it to a friend and her ds hated it too!

bubbaloo · 30/10/2005 18:33

It's a good job they're not too expensive to buy then.Perhaps I'll Ebay it if it scares him.

Hi Bubbaloo, Fisher Price do the dog and cat ones suitable from 6 months. I think you can get them in Tesco in Goodmayes for about £10.00 iirc.

starshaker · 30/10/2005 18:48

you can get them on ebay quite cheap

bubbaloo · 30/10/2005 20:00

Thanks Starshaker-I've had a look on ebay, but the time I pay the p&p I might aswell get a new one.

Hi pinotmum, how are you? Think I'll send dh down to Goodmayes tomorrow to get one, thanks.

Ds has the mini one. It was from Gamleys.

Furball · 30/10/2005 20:58

I've got a mini one if anyone still wants one. You would have to cover postage which is about £1.

bubbaloo · 30/10/2005 21:43

Furball-That would be great,thank you.
Shall I CAT you?.

Our ds2 was given one for his first birthday - screamed his head off as soon as it got switched on, but a few months later on he loved it - then the batteries kept running down as it would wobble off into a corner of a room and get forgotten about.. Great toy though, and when ds2 kept trying to hide it we found it made very funny noises inside wardrobes etc

Furball · 31/10/2005 07:34

bubbaloo - email me direct on furball(at)link2me.co.uk

bubbaloo · 31/10/2005 07:38
