would you buy from a car auction?????

i need a second hand car that fits 3 small children in the back so need to get rid of my little ford fiesta and need to buy something bigger. but i only have a budget of about 3 to 4 k so was wondering if buying at auction was my best option. can anyone give me some advice please

Sorry no real advice, answered cos I love tayto. I wouldn't buy on my own, no. Would get someone who knows about it. Too risky if you know nothing about cars.

Have done in the past, but my dad was there too and he is v car knowledgeable. I don't think it's an inherently bad way of buying a car, no.

We bought one from a car auction place and it is a brilliant little car (had it over a year) you just need to be aware of the buyers premium they charge - I think it added about £400 to the cost. We weren't aware of it but had got a bargain anyway so it wasn't too bad.
