Hello Ladies,

..Looking for your favs on cot matresses (and moses baskets/prams as well)

I'm on crutches at the moment with a separated pelvis at 37 weeks, so I've been looking on-line instead of hauling myself down to the high street. (but I can't really see/feel the quality so makes it tough to choose!) We are looking at some of the usually suspects... i.e. John Lewis, Mothercare ect.

any favorites (or ones to avoid?)

Thank you!

the 'top of the range' mothercare one is lovely, i can vouch for that!

greenbaby website has good mattresses. the standard sprung mattress is made from natural materials and is very firm, though was expensive. i have bought 2 for my boys. has washable cover. previously had a mothercare foam one which was rubbish, gave no support and the foam dented over time and had no shape. also didn't like the idea of all the chemicals they put into the making of them.

john lewis do ones from rockingham (not sure of spelling) and have never had a problem with them. the company also do custom fit ones if you have an unusual sized cot/pram/moses basket etc.

we got our cot mattress from babiesrus and it was nice and firm and has a removable washable top cover. You could also buy replacement covers so that you had 1 spare if needed e.g. it got wet or sicked on, etc.
