they look like grown up versions of what my dd has on her schoolbag!

I havent got any though.

starshaker · 28/10/2005 19:42

i think they are quite nice but wouldnt pay that much for them

pesme · 28/10/2005 19:43

Hi hate this sort of rent-a-life folksy sh*t. either you are teh sort of 'kookie' person who collects gifts from crackers and travels the world buying tassels etc or you aren't.

can you tell i have had a bad week

Tortington · 28/10/2005 20:30

nope i donthave a hangbag either - i think if you have a handbag your OLD

GeorgieVickyLou · 28/10/2005 20:33

Had a mobile phone charm (same thing but smaller) bought it when i was in Japan, i annoyed the hell of me so i ditched it.

frannykenstein · 28/10/2005 20:35

I felt it was just another way to get us to buy more sparkly tat. Don't get me wrong, I like sparkly tat, but it makes me feel a bit cross and cynical when they start inventing entirely new categories of things to spend our money on.

WitchyWhizzz · 28/10/2005 21:17

I just wondered if anyone actually bought them ?

Anyone else have a view ?

I'm just debating whether to make some to sell at local craft fayre

If they were 3 pounds or under, Id buy them for the dds Christmas stockings, or for posh Christmas tree ornaments.

but at the prices quoted on the website, I couldn't afford them!

TinyGang · 29/10/2005 11:35

My dd(7) has one; she's just getting into having a little bag of her own.

I think they're quite pretty, but perhaps more for younger girls/ladies/women (whatever the pc term is just now). You can get them for mobile phone too, I think.

JenumGeranium · 29/10/2005 11:50

I really like the little sheepskin boot one! How cute! Dont think I would have one on my bag though.

chenin · 29/10/2005 12:30

I love them! And I've got them on 2 or 3 of my handbags. I have chosen the tasteful ones though, and I do co-ordinate them with the bag. I like the ones with beads, shells and maybe chains and I love the noise they make - a sort of jangly noise as I walk along. Must annoy the hell out of everyone else but I am just a bit sad, that's all!!

Thanks for the views - I might conjure up a few - significantly cheaper than Monsoon though!

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 29/10/2005 13:22

I've got a Monsoon one (none of the website ones) just because my bag looked dull. I find it useful for clipping my mobile phone and keyring on so I don't lose them in the bag

hallowcarla · 29/10/2005 13:55

Good grief.

TinyGang · 29/10/2005 13:58

You are clever to consider making some I bet they'd sell like hot cakes at a craft fayre. My dd also likes beady, dangly, sparkly things for her hair too. Just an idea..

Jbck · 29/10/2005 14:47

Couple of girls at work have them & they paid 10/12 quid, I considered making one so it was personalised & cheaper.

Nbg · 29/10/2005 14:50

I bought the Fable one for my MIL for xmas as it's so her.

She loves all that sort off stuff. Her house is full of all sorts of little trinkets and she has a load of things that she hangs in her car.

I'm quite tempted to get one for myself but I swap handbags alot so it would only get lost eventually.

spookyserenity · 29/10/2005 14:58

I've bought a few from George, but I clip them onto my keys - it's a good way to keep my door and car keys together, but in a way that's easy to take aprt. DS1 and 2 like to run ahead as I'm getting DD out of the car, and unlock the front door.

I don't actually use a handbag
