Is that where I bought that piece of s**t Revostyler which pulls my hair out like a bloody epilator ??

wiltshire · 18/09/2003 22:13

I fancied learning to sew and bought the little sewing machine that came pre threaded and was brilliant for beginners. It was only 20 quid. On QVC the woman was making lined curtains for gods sake.

What an absolute load of crap. You couldn't sew anything together, I would have been better of with a tub of glue. End of QVC shopping experience.

The pre christmas stamp/craft sets sound good though, you never know.

Well....I did buy a gold bracelet which was beautiful and a lovely Christmas outfit for a casual party two years ago...they were both actually very nice. I guess it must be hit or miss, is there any guarentee that you can send something back if it is crappy? If there is, it is worth it to try I guess...

doormat · 19/09/2003 06:37

Dh bought xmas lights a couple of years back, they are still ok.

wobblymum · 20/09/2003 16:29

You can send stuff back but you don't get the postage to you refunded, and you have to pay the postage to send it back too, so quite expensive to return something IMO.

singingmum · 20/09/2003 16:33

Found QVC to be very good although know that some have had bad experience.Think that if compared to shopping in a store prob find same thing.

debster · 22/09/2003 12:28

I bought a Slendertone abdominal exerciser thing. It's not that bad if you don't mind the feeling of being elctrocuted every few seconds. It was my first purchase and I've been using it for over a week with no noticeable difference. What a sucker I am!! Someone please tell me they work eventually.

CountessDracula · 22/09/2003 12:30

What is QVC? A catalogue? Who is Alison then?

sunchowder · 22/09/2003 12:47

QVC is a Cable Network Television show where they sell things all day long! It stands for Quality Value Cable I believe.

CountessDracula · 22/09/2003 12:48

Oh, I have SkyDigital so I prob don't get it then. Do they sell Ktel compilations of 60s music etc?

Bogwoppit · 22/09/2003 13:29

countess dracula. QVC is channel 630 on Sky digital. or at least it was last time I looked.

codswallop · 22/09/2003 13:31

I thought it stood for Quite Vile Crap

Once bought a ring for my mother, it didn't look anything like the ring on screen so I gave it to a friend who admired it when I was 2 days late sending it back (just kept forgetting to go to the post office). So all was not wasted.

Lara2 · 22/09/2003 18:21

codswallop · 22/09/2003 19:25
