I have the double one and it only weighs 7.4kg and I am very happy with it.

Mojomummy · 26/10/2005 00:00

I've got one & have to say I prefer the pliko (I've got one of those as well

Things I like about aria - light, easy to push on handed

Things I don't like - no leg rest, so not good for little backs, especially long toddlers like mine. Very small hood that doesn't shield anything.

what age are you thinking of buying for ?

its for my one year ole....we had a great travel system which would of seen us through to the end of the pushchair stage, but mothercare damaged it....long story!!!

we bought a buggy for the winter but i hate it with a passion, its not strong enough all the cosytoes etc dont fit right and the hood just falls off whenever it wants too and the rain cover doesnt fit right.

want a lightweight pushchair but with a little more to it, i.e, kightweight but strong enough for winter months.

I'd go for a 2nd hand pliko off e-bay. Strip off the padding & wash at 40o.

We still use ours & Dd is 28 mths. It's great for holidays & my Dd loves to grab the bar at the front & have a good look around

lucykatie · 26/10/2005 16:16

personally won't say the aria is a winter buggy - i know you can get the footmuff but the hood doesn't offer much coverage and it's not that padded personally go for a techno or a pliko.

Clayhead · 27/10/2005 08:56

I had one for a year or so but hated it and sold on e-bay...sorry.

DH said he found it really awkward to push, I have since realised that he was right when I compare it to my new buggy (little Maclaren thing, just for shoving in car boot) and I didn't think it folded very small considering how other buggies of that size fold. The footmuff also constantly scrapes the floor, becomes dirty and then starts to wear out - this is a well known problem with the Aria.

If I were you, I'd go for something slightly more substantial.

Good luck!

Mojomummy · 27/10/2005 10:33

yes, right about the foot muff - no known probs with the pliko

webmum · 27/10/2005 10:39

the only prob with pliko is that is quite bulky, and it takes up a lot of space in the boot, but otehrwise its great, very comfy and protective too.

I too hated the Aria, but I had the original model, which was the worse of all
