I have run out of ideas about what to get for 4 year old DS who has just started P 1.

Thought about a wobble deck from ELC but have been told by friend that it will be a bit of a white elephant.

DS is into Star Wars atm and wants a Yoda lightsabre to go with his two other lightsabres but I don't really want to get him just character toys so would really appreciate some ideas, please?

He will be getting some Horrid Henry books too so just need ideas for some small toys.

Thanks!

I have just bought my ds a much cheaper version of the roboraptor (retails at £90) it's a mini roboraptor from John Lewis it was £12.95 it walks and makes dinosaur noises without the need of a remote control. Also bought geomag, lego and some orchard games.

Toys R Us are currently selling a 3 story garage with microphone at £15, down from £25.

What is he into? DS is getting some Star Wars stuff - not a light sabre though. And also a CD player for his bedroom. Then will get DH to compile a couple of CDs for him.

Small toys, ideas are sets of lego, playmobil, toy cars, craft type stuff etc. Usually for DS for small toys I just add bits to existing sets. So in his stocking he will be getting a matchbox car, some farm animals, a couple of playmobil figures (with skateboards off Ebay), a quadbike with farmer, a £3.99 pack of lego along with the non-toy stuff.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

He's into Star Wars, Batman, Power Rangers but tbh, I find he doesn't really play with his toys that much.

At the weekends he plays with another little boy 2 doors down and they both get into their Star Wars costumes and run up and down the street with their swords or light sabres.

I just don't want to get him anymore stuff that's just going to sit around and not be played with.

I was tempted by the Geomag or Knex sets but again couldn't bear the thought that they'd be left to rot in a box....
