FLOORING HELP

Does anyone have experience of Sisal? Read on a website that it's really hardwearing blah blah but heard a few things about stains being hard to get out.

I'm about to become a childminder, have a 2 year old of my own and will hopefully be having more, so need something very hardwearing.

I've got a hallway, stairs, landing and conservatory/dining room to do. Definietly want carpet or at least a runner for the stairs but an really undecided about the conservatory/dining room.

Got real wood in the lounge and don't love it because it's so drafty so don't want to go down that route.

Ceramic with underfloor heating is the other option.....

Any advice gratefully received

I wanted sisal for a while but when I went to a shop and looked into it I changed my mind as thought it might be a bit rough on kids knees when crawling/playing on floor. Also couldn't help but wonder how difficult it would be to clean up spillages (ground in food, drink, cat sick...!).
It does look lovely though

Sisal is lovely, had it in our last house, but it can look manky after a few spills. I'd definitely go ceramic with underfloor heating - our downstairs is all wood or ceramic and it's mop heaven!

Been thinking about it a lot and think I'll go for the ceramic and U/F heating in the conservatory and either sisal or another carpet on the stairs, depending on the cost!

Thanks for your advice!
