Astroturf in your play area?

Just wondered if anyone has got fake grass in their play area? Ours is currently covered in mucky bark chippings that are quite sharp and we're reluctant to replace with more of the sam.

So was thinking about astroturf designed for kids (ie won't burn skin when fallen on), looked at asgood as grass.com but then looked agin and found they've been reviewed really badly on their customer service. So has anyone used anyone else or can suggest anything else safe and easy to maintain.

Thanks in advance X

We have fake grass in our play area at the nursery where i work. The builders supplied it and fitted it when we redid the outside space.
It is very low maintenance, we have had it just over a year and still looks as good.
I am not that keen on it, it looks good but so does grass. I find that it hurts your knees if you kneel on it, as it is harder than grass, and not very comfortable to sit on, and leaves intendation marks on your bottom, legs, hands etc.
