lol that's the best phone ever!

NotQuiteCockney · 21/10/2005 21:22

Isn't it?

I'm hoping it will be sturdy, as it's for kids. And it's so pretty! My current phone has a Hello Kitty fascia, anyway.

how girly!

LadyTophamHatt · 21/10/2005 21:25

They have round pink phones in Tescos ATM.
About £70 I think.

NotQuiteCockney · 21/10/2005 21:25

There are a lot of girly phones now. Xelibri or whatever did one, and now panasonic has one (not available in the UK yet I think).

i wouldn't actually buy it from there though... heard very dodgy stuff from people selling from hong kong!

NotQuiteCockney · 21/10/2005 21:25

If someone made a Powerpuff Girls phone, I'd rather have that. Or Badzu Maru! But Hello Kitty is fine.

I don't know why my phones have to be so girly, I am really quite butch, but somehow, phones have to be girly.

Eh, that seller has like 1700 feedbacks, over 99% good. And he's generally selling phones. I wouldn't buy a DVD or game from HK, but a phone? Why not?

have u heard about the new phone thats pink and has alarms on it to tell you when u should be ovulating (sp) and an alarm to remind you when your af is due ??

not sure which one it is but chappers mentioned it on the radio1 a month back, he said he has to have one so he could be warned when his "mrs" due on

Jbck · 22/10/2005 17:53

Love it my last Nokia had a HK fascia. If I hadn't just got a new one I'd go for it.

peckarollover · 22/10/2005 18:13

megandsoph, ive got that one

PeachyClairPumpkinPie · 22/10/2005 18:44

Just bought a Phillips whatever it is today, thought it was perfect until I saw this.

out of studenty price range really (one I got was half price at £49.99), I LOVE THIS PHONE! YOU LUCKY, LUCKY PERSON

PeachyClairPumpkinPie · 22/10/2005 18:45

Oh, and I bought a watch from HK on Ebay for a friends child (spiderman) and it was great, delivered in a week. I wouldn't worry.

NotQuiteCockney · 22/10/2005 19:42

I trust ebay sellers with such good feedback.

I can't wait to get it! I've always had Nokia phones, so the same as everyone else's, this is a really really cute one.

It showed up today! They tried to deliver yesterday! Which is pretty stellar service, given I ordered on Friday, and it's coming from HK.

It's really really lovely. It does still photos and video. Ok, the instruction booklet is entirely in Chinese, and initially it only wanted to send SMSes in Chinese, but I've fixed that, and it's working well. And they did include English instructions for hooking it up to the computer, which is the only tricky part. (I can put photos on the computer rather than having to send them to someone.)

The interface is so so so cute, everything is animated and cute and sweet. Oh, I just love it.

The only tricky bit is, I can't tell if it's triband. I might try to find a Chinese speaker to check the manual for me ... the only one I can think of is a friend's mum, which is maybe pushing it a bit.
