Are the generally considered to be large or small or spot on ??

My mom has spotted a Boden dress on Ebay that she wants to get for Dd2 but it is age 5 and Dd is nearly 6. She is mostly though still in age 5-6 clothes from normal shops.

Ohhhh and I have just seen some trousers that i'd like for her, would 5-6 be too small do you think ??

Yeah, dresses are usually big. dd has a fave dress that she wears all the time, she's 4 and a bit and it's a 3-4. 5-6 from Boden are huge on her.
Fitted T-shirts not so much tho.

Hmm right ok. So do you think i should go a size up for tops then ??

I think trousers wise I'd have to go for 5-6 because some of her trousers now are still too long for her.

Depends how tall she is, I do find Boden come up big. DD1 is 113cm tall and boden 5-6 fits her perfectly. DD2 is nearly 4 and has just gone into 3-4 and these are a bit big on her. You need to measure her.

I'm findng them big for the boys. Ds1 is 4.5 and in age 2-3 tops and ds2 is almost 3 and his fleece is 18-24 months!! Ds1 is slightly smaller than average for age but ds2 is pretty average.

Has yer coat arrived yet gdg?????

Boden heights for children:
age 5-6=116cm tall/chest60cm/waist55cm
age 7-8=128cm tall/chest64/waist 58

My dd is nearly 7; don't know how tall she is, but appears merely average when compared to her classmates. I have some Boden things for her. she is now wearing mostly 7-8, that includes a dress she started wearing in may at age 6.5.
Hmm - maybe she is "bigger" for her age than I thought! Generally you're all thinking the sizes are generous. You will need to measure your dd.
