Wibbly Pig Soft Toy - help!!!!!

You are my last resort! My ds2 has taken a fondness for his brothers Wibbly Pig soft toy and mutated it into his comforter, and poor Wibbly is suffering!

Unfortunately he is no longer made by Hodder Headline, and they had no idea where I could source one as they last produced them about a year ago. I have tried various large and small bookshops, searched online and alas nothing.

So my plea to Mumsnetters is...... have you got a Wibbly Pig soft toy lurking unwanted and unloved? Do you know one who needs some love and lots of cuddles, then if so please contact me on [email protected]

I'm more than happy to reimburse the value of your toy and all postage costs. Please there must be one out there!!!!!

Give thanks to Google!!! Lol!!

Go to www.aarons-books.co.uk (must learn to do links!) They have them there for £9.99 each!! HTH!!

Hi Wobblymum, yes they have them on the website, but they have not had them in stock for 6 months or something!!! You'd think they would change the site!

I have been searching on ebay for about 3 months and also no result!

So please Mumsnetters, I know one is out there!!

No Wibbly here I'm afraid but I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I'm pretty sure that I've got a little one somewhere. He came free with some Wibbly Pig books. If you think that might be ok, let me know and I'll try and find it.

If you want the BFC Wibbly Pig, let me know - I'm already a member and have vouchers for free postage for the next few months. I never use it any more.

SoupDragon · 16/09/2003 14:35

Wibbly Pig alone is £5.99, with 6 books he's £10.49. (I had to search for Wibbly as, when I looked, he didn't appear under the section Bea mentioned)

bea · 16/09/2003 16:35

bron.. thanks for the warning aka bfc... as i was actually thinking of joing them... might go with red house or book people now!

Hello from the USA! We are also seeking a Wibbly Pig for our daughter, who is currently four. A couple of years ago we bought a WP at a bookstore (Waterstone's?) while on a visit in London. Meredith immediately named the pig "Arnold" (after Kipper's little pig friend) and it quickly became her most beloved toy. At this point, over two years later, Arnold it in desperate shape and we are urgently seeking another one. We are very interested in how your search ended, and if it hasn't, perhaps we could start a grassroots effort to lobby Hodder Publishing to reprint. Please respond!

fairy - we have a wibbly - it is quite small and came from BFC with the wibbly books - you're more than welcome to it as DS would never miss it. Email me if you want it and I will post it to you.
