Cold Mist Humidifier?

Tee2072 · 03/03/2011 21:28

Does anyone use one when their child has a cold?

I'm from the US and my entire family over there can't believe I don't have one for my son. He's only 21 months but showing the signs of asthma and a cold mist humidifier is highly recommended for that.

Does anyone have one they use and love?

I bought a Tefal one in France, have used it loads especially when DD2 had croup. Amazon UK sells a couple of cold mist humidifiers i believe, never seen them anywhere in shops. Not sure how good they are though.

I use one (Vicks) for every cold with DS, makes a huge difference. You have to be quite diligent about cleaning the cool mist ones to avoid bacteria, but I like that they are safe for DS' room (no burn risk). I'm in Canada and you can get them everywhere humidifiers are sold, got mine at the pharmacy.

Thanks to both of you I found one on the internet. It's by Vicks and my son is already sleeping better!
