I've got an old 1.4 megane, sports version. And today test drove the 1.6 scenic, after something a lil bigger with 2 kids etc. I was surprised at how sluggish it felt, since I'm gonna be paying the extra tax etc for the bigger engine it seemed a shame that it didnt shift. Is it really that important to shift anyway? cant decide....

i have had 2 scenics- you need to think about car seats- they shouldne have anything wiht legs- eg cabriofix base as they have under floor storage.

I've got a 1.6 grand scenic and we often wish we'd gone for the 1.8, particularly when all 5 of us are in there, with luggage for two weeks holiday! But there are times when I'm on my own in it and I need it to move quickly and it does - it's just nowhere near as good as my pre-DC Puma (which I still miss!).

We didn't have it with stage 1 seats, but fitted 3 stage 2 seats across the back and now have 3 boosters across the back quite comfortably.

I've got the 1.5 diesel version and it has far more umph than the 1.6 petrol (earliest) version we had before. Also does over 60 mpg which is helpful!

We had a Scenic, about 2002 reg. It was ALWAYS breaking down. Some faults are so common that the AA man knew what he was going to do and had the kit to do it before he got to us. Seriously. In the 3 years we had it - from new, company car - we must have had to call the AA 10 or 12 times.

Eeek, I've just put deposit down and very mixed views!!
Got 2 car seats to put in it, a booster with back rest etc and a forward facing 9m-3yrs one.
