Do you want it to drink or in a cream?

PrettyCandles · 18/10/2005 14:06

To apply, but apparently the purest products can be used both internally and externally.

erm the plant itself? Break off a leaf and rub it on? work for me but then im a right TAG and buy nowt I can get for free.

Nbg · 18/10/2005 14:13

Well my mum buys a big bottle of the stuff from Holland and Barratt. I think she drinks a cap full every morning.

There is a company that sells it on the internet which is even purer. My auntie buys that and swears by it. I could try and find the addy out for you if you like?

As for creams I think Body Shops is quite good. There is a shop in Huddersfield that sells those sorts of creams over the net or mail order.

was thinking old liz earle

Nbg · 18/10/2005 14:33

Oh yeah, Liz Earles stuff is meant to be pretty good.

PrettyCandles · 18/10/2005 14:37

NBQ, please do - or is it Liz Earles that you were thinking of?

I would use the plant itself, in fact I thought I was for years, until last week when my mum discovered that what we thought was an Aloe Vera, wasn't! So god only knows what we've been rubbing onto ourselves! Doesn't seem to have done any harm, though (gibber gibber).

No it wasn't Liz Earle.

I'll find the Huddesfield one now for you.

Not sure I'll be able to get the other one but I'll try.

CountessCadburyOfBournville · 18/10/2005 15:05

I use an Aloe Vera gel from Holland and Barratt that is pretty good.

Nbg · 18/10/2005 15:06

This is it but I don't think they have any atm. I'm sure they did.

You could give them a call.

The little Herbal Company

PrettyCandles · 18/10/2005 15:16

I've emailed them.

The Liz Earle site doesn't mention any Aloe Vera product, just other products containing AV.

H&B look hopeful - though I don't have a high opinion of their own-brand products.
