DH is 30 on Sunday and is hankering after an electronic reading device of some sort - he seems not bothered if it's a kindle or something else he just wants to download books to read from it - will also stop him junking up the house with read papaerbacks he refuses to part with. Hmm :o

love love love my e reader, easy to use and read, and best of all in kent you can borrow ebooks from the library.

I second the Sony eReader IMO better than the kindle because you are not locked into one ebook format.
I'm also in Kent so have been borrowing ebooks from the library too!

Also it has a touch screen which makes page turning more naturalistic, I don't think the Kindle has this (could be wrong though).

Kindle all the way. The screen is much more realistic and doesn't hurt your eyes. Calibre transforms any format into mobi format, so you are not locked in.

I would hate a touchscreen electronic book, but that could just be me.
