mothercare car seat - anyone got instructions?

I have a car seat from mothercare, it is probably about 5 years old. I can't remember which stage is is, but it is one that can go rear-facing, then turn round for forward facing.

I know it can be fastened using a lap-belt, but cannot remember how! I did keep the instructions, but dh must have thrown them out. DOes anyone have instructions or know how it goes. We are planning a day out with my two and a friend and her toddler (she doesn't drive), and I'm not sure she would fit in the back!

Not meaning to alarm you but could it be the mothercare daytona car seat?

That was about 5 years old... it did SOOOO badly in the which? report that they said in a crash it was likely to break the childs neck and kill the baby.(in fact i think its the only thing EVER to score 0 for being SOOOO dangerouse!)

Until this year i dont think ANY motehrcare has ever got many points for safety at all, (at lot have been V 'unsafe' and highly unrecommended)

The only mothercare seat that seems ok is the current mothercare travel tot.

Maybe its worth going out to buy a new much safer car seat?

Gosh I hope it isn't that one - dd was in it until a few months ago (just before she was four, she is small for her age)
