men's watches?

DH's 30th Birthday, want to get him a decent watch which will be durable but have maximum budget of £300. Found some online sales. I think Seiko is a trusted brand but is ZOdiac? Any others? He cycles so durability is important, he tends to go for the more metallic (rather than leather strap etc) ones

argh, where do I start?

Rotary is a good brand in that price bracket. I have a Rotary watch, which looks nice, keeps good time and is lasting fairly well (so far).
