Special Needs Car Seats - Experience?

Apologies to be repetitive - I've already posted about our search for a car seat, but I wondered if anyone has experience of any special needs car seats.

DD is 2 years, 8 months and is tall. She weighs about 15.5kg, so we've been looking at stage 3 car seats.

The problem is that she's too tall for the stage 3 seats with a harness up to 18kg, but is too immature for a seatbelt - every time we put her in one today she pulled the belt over her head.

So, we've been advised to go for a special needs seat. We have an appointment at the In Car Safety Centre in Milton Keynes in the morning. They've recommended we go for the 2-Way Elite which has been adapted.

Does anyone have experience of this seat, or other similar special needs seats, please?

Thank you! :)

did they specifically say she would need the adapted version?

we have the 2 way elite (regular) and it's very tall. my 3 year old has loads of headroom still (and bear in mind you can use it forward facing til the eyes are level with the back)
