Anyone have problems with Boden delivering??

I ordered a coat in the sale well over 2 weeks ago now and it said it was in stock. The week before last I rang to chase it up and they said it went out of stock but they'd had a new delivery and it was on it's way.

Last Monday got an email saying it's being despatched and should be with me in 4-5 working days. Well, by my reckoning it's 5 working days later and it's still not bloody here!

Very unusual gdg.
One of the resons I buy most of our stuff from them is that it's delivered asap.
On one occasion when I had been buggered around a bit (pair of trousers out of stock) they sent me a £20 voucher. On another occasion,I hadn't received a big order and they snet another straight away.
Weeks later,I found the original order in a bloody upturned dustbin.
I obviously wasn't in and the delivery bloke was too lazy to leave me anote explaining where it was.

I sent it back but I could have kept it (it was about £300 worth)without them being any the wiser so I liked the fact that they accepted my word.

I thought I saw on another thread that your coat was a sale one so am confused about it being 'out of stock' if so???

That does seem quite a long delay. They're obviously not as sure of their stock levels as they'd like to be!
Did the e-mail say if it was coming via parcelnet or royal mail? I usually find parcelnet quicker but I don't know what their proceedure is if you're out.

it doesn't help, but no never had a problem with boden, they are normally very good at delivering promptly and leaving with neighbours etc if you are not at home.

could the delivery person have called when you were out and no one was in to receive the parcel?

Yes, prior to ordering the coat I did a big order for the boys and that's all been coming in dribs and drabs but I've been happy with that - have sent some back in exchange for other sizes and that's all come through as well.

I was confused about the 'out of stock too' - when I ordered it on the website it said it was in stock but when I called she said it went out of stock but they'd since had another delivery - really strange.

Will call them in a while - might get a voucher out of it then?!

having just read moondogs post it reminded me that the man who delivers for us (parcelnet) often leaves the parcel behind a plant with no note put through the door to say he'd been.
Have you checked in any odd places?

Gobbledispook · 17/10/2005 13:05

Just called, apparently I should get it tomorrow morning.

Not very impressed since I ordered it on 30th Sept and it said it was in stock!

It's not hidden anywhere I don't think, it would be behind our gates and it's not...

when you get it I would e-mail and complain, definitely!

Thanks, I think I will!
