2.3 and 17kg - which car seat to go for?

I'm really stumped on this one. DS is 2.3 but almost 18kg and in need of a new car seat. From what I've read booster seats mean that children's heads loll about when they sleep, and DS sleeps in the car a lot. Are there any more compact seats which would fit him?

Would LOVE to get Isofix as our new car has fixing for it, but as far as I know they only go up to 18kg, grrrrr!

There is a Jane one which is a booster with isofix, so goes up to age 11-ish in theory - Hulababy has one.

thanks, just taken a look at that one now. But it's a booster seat isn't it? I still feel DS is too young for that, flopping around when he sleeps. However, great to know it's available, though would still prefer something with shoulder straps still.

britax elite.

Britax has no harness fastening after 40lb though. Are there no car seats which offer this?

Or Britax Trio which goes up to 36kg Britax trio

ionaming · 16/10/2005 00:04

ah, just read the trio did badly in safety tests, so scrap that one
