Radio Flyers are Great!

I've just bought a Radio Flyer classic red wagon for my twins from GLTC and it's absolutely fab! We were having all sorts of minor hiccups with two toddlers keen to walk and a hefty double buggy. The wagon is perfect because they can walk as far as they want/can and then jump in when they're tired. Since it's pulled with one hand I can still grab them if they start marauding. It looks cool too- we're getting smiles from passers by!

Wow, that is great, ScrummyMummy. You must be really pleased with it.

Just been reading your coments on the first discovering of Mumsnet thread , and thought that perhaps a response to your first ever message was in order!

Do your twins still fit in it?

We got a radio flyer wagon for DSs first christmas and were totally shocked when it arrived as it seemed enormous and we thought we had really boobed. However now with two of them its one of the best things we've ever bought. They have great fun with it and spend hours pulling one another round in it. We even took it camping with us (was great for pulling the washing up!) and they played with freinds with it too. Its great toy for encouraging sharing and co-operation - whereas bikes always result in arguments. Ours is actually larger than the one in GLTC but the company who makes them does a huge range of sizes from ones for a doll to adult sized ones. They are not cheap but they are excellent value for money. They also do some lovely bikes and trikes.

The best UK suppliers I;ve found are: www.theoutdoortoycompany.co.uk , and www.yankeedoodleiow.co.uk , The original Americal site is www.radioflyer.com

I agree! Radio Flyer wagons are great!

We got one about a month or so ago from Costco (the classic original one). I've since bought a pad to fit in the bottom plus a strap on plastic seat for ds to sit in. He now sits in there lording over everyone (at 19 months) and waving to passers by! It's very entertaining to watch!

Only slight worry is that you can't strap them in for safety. But off road or in the garden, it's brilliant!

oh dear... this has got me intrigued and am very very tempted at getting one for dd!!! but her birthday has gone... and there is no special occasion to warrent getting one...

the thing that i will say is that she loved pushing her dollies around in the buggy and since i refuse to get her a dolls buggy... maybe a radio flyer will do the job!!!!????

hmmmm... i think dh would think very differently!!!
