Can anyone advise on this please? We only need a 5 seater but are thinking of getting a people carrier because we need big boot space. We don't want a huge one though!

Just looking for something reliable (we are getting rid of our current car because it keeps throwing a tantrum when we try to start it.

We got a c max after doing the s max test drive on here. We don't need the 7 seats of an s max so the c max is enough with 5.

We have a Citroen Grand Picasso & have been very pleased with it. You can get 3 full size car seats in the back, and the 2 extra seats (which are also full size - unlike some other small people carriers) fold flat into the boot leaving a huge space.

We only needed a 5 seater, but have found the extra 2 seats a real bonus when we have had extra children over for tea etc. Also the middle row seats fold flat as well leaving a very large space (trips home from Ikea etc!)

When we go on holiday we fold the middle seat down & our eldest sits in a boot seat - there is a 12v socket in the boot, so he can plug his DS in, we then pack the car around him!

It has been very reliable & we have been pleased at how economical it has been. I am due to change it in the summer & will probably get the same again :)

We test drove a Renault Scenic and Ford C-Max only last week. We liked them both a lot (whereas the Citroen Xsara Picasso we didn't like at all) Good luck!
