hi
was just wondering if anyone has a duel fuel cooker? i would like one with gas rings and an electric grill and seperate fan oven. was wondering if anyone can recommend one. also we don't have gas in the area and will have to use bottles and get it connected as there is only an electric connection there at the moment. has anyone else has to do this? is it a lot of hassle? also is gas so much better than electric for cooking? please help. thanks

We do! Gas ring and elecky fan oven, was in the house when we moved here, personally I would have gas oven as well, cooks food much better, in a rounder way, with fan the back bits on things sometimes get burnt....could you get a big gas tank outside?

hi Frizbe, thanks for the reply. have no way of getting a gas tank as we don't have gas in the area so would have to rely on bottles. why do you ask, would it use a lot of gas for the oven? would i have to be changing the gas bottles all the time? also i childmind so wonder if the gas oven is safe? the guy in currys told us that the cooker top had a lid which acted as a safety cut out so if little fingers turned the knobs but the lid was down the gas would cut out. is there something like this for the oven? sorry for all the questions but gas isn't very common here and so most shops don't sell enough to know much about it. two shops yesterday and that's all we were told!
