Which is better, IKEA trofast system, or GLTC's lazzari storage?

gltc system

ikea trofast - click below for more cabinets and drawers

does anyone have any opinions or experience of either?

just about to finish extension and need to organise all of DS's toys.

Don;'t want to just keep going with random boxes here there and everywhere, but have a system.

Many thanks in advance

Dont know anything about the GLTC one but I know that my DS and DD's Trofast system takes one hell of a beating off them! The storage drawers are constantly being shoved in and out and so far they havent got so much as a scratch.

Imo they are much of a muchness in quality. Trofast is a lot cheaper and there's more flexibility as you decide where to put the runners for the various sized boxes.

Trofast is fab - sturdy, climbable on, flexible. You can have shelves or boxes of different sizes. And way, way cheaper than GLTC!

We've had two Trofast units that have survived quite a few years in my dts' bedroom. Although the tidiness aspect of dts room is dubious - I'm sure we've lost small children in there who have yet to be found - they do look very neat when everything is put away though!!

We have the white version with different coloured boxes. Very good for Lego mountains. And you can buy lids to completely tidy toys out of sight.

thank you

good to hear that trofast is sturdy! and def much cheaper

would go for white with red drawers i think

like the lazzari pictures though

I don't rate the Lazarri. The baskets don't take that many toys and because they're fabric can be difficult to push in and out. I'd go fro Trofast if I were you.

thank you, good to know

Trofast for sure wrt value for money. I think the GWTC stuff looks a bit nicer, but it's not as practical.

We went for the Ikea Besta shelving (40cm deep) and bought tubs and crates. It's good because you have so many options with regard to the height, shape etc of the shelving and you have the moveable shelves. We created a sort of square donut shape so the middle bit could be played on and we had 'out of reach' storage. But you could also just get a couple of lower units if that's all you want/need.
