I've know what Ds2 and Ds3 will be getting but I'm just stumped for Ds1.

naturally, he wants one of every advert he sees but that osn't going to happen.

They are having on main present and a pillow case of little bits and bobs this year, and it's the big present I'm stuck on.

Suggestions up to about £50-£60 please.

mine wants an electric thomas the tank train set.

freakyzebra · 08/10/2005 16:00

I'm afraid to ask DS1, he would just... need a telephone book for me to write it all down.

Geomagnetics things? Fancy lego sets? Board games?

spykid · 08/10/2005 16:01

new game for his game boy
watch
tetris 3d
geomag

LadyTophamHatt · 08/10/2005 16:01

Is that the new steam one?

we've got about half a ton of that stuff so not sure if that's a good idea.

are you talking to me lth?

not sure if he is getting it yet, if he does it will have to be attached to a board or something so it cant all be broken up and thrown about.

LadyTophamHatt · 08/10/2005 16:13

Gameboy-he got one 2 years ago and never plays it.
Lego-got loads for his birthday this year.
Board games-he's not really into them plus the one we have already Ds3 just trashes.
Geomag-have it already.

The problem we have is that with only 2 years between each DS they all play with the same stuff. We've never had a chance to pack stuff away because the next Ds has started playing with it.

Ds2 will be getting a piano/microphone/disco ball thing for ELC(what am I thinking???...more noise...) and Ds3 is getting a ride on tractor and trailor for the garden.
They will all play with them but DS1's present is really tricky this year.

Ds (six-and-a-half, mechanically minded) has asked for Skyrail from Quercetti - links are to various Quercetti things, which are great - will be a collective present from us, and all four of his grandparents, and probably all twelve of his aunts & uncles too.

Mine wants Thunderbirds - again !

freakyzebra · 08/10/2005 17:40

Mine is getting a Tracey Island (Thunderbirds) playset for his 6th birthday next month, actually. He's really into stamps (type you use an ink pad with) right now, so is getting some insect stamps, too.

ponygirl · 08/10/2005 17:45

We bought ds1 a cheap digital camera for his 6th birthday which is at Christmas. He loves it, and it's a lot more economical way for him to learn to take pictures than one with film.

roisin · 08/10/2005 17:50

ROFL Binkie! That is exactly what ds1 picked out for his Christmas list. It's the only thing he's asked for so far.

I haven't decided whether he's getting it yet though.

vickiyumyum · 08/10/2005 17:51

both mine want that rob raptor thing but at £90 ican't justify it ds1 is 8 and ds2 is 3!

was going to get ds1 a new playstation as ours was ancient and kept freezing, but we got burgled so got a new one on the insurance. so stuck, they change their mind every day anyway, don't they?

probaly more ps2 games and lego, geomag, a few books and a board game.

LadyTophamHatt · 08/10/2005 17:58

Binkie, I love that.

He'd love it too, until Ds3 got near it.

A strong possibility though

I think that looks fab, too, but it would be very impractical with DS3 around!

binkie · 08/10/2005 18:47

roisin, that is funny!! - all the more so because the only other thing his heart is set on is a subscription to Aquila ... which comes, this season, with a free book called something like "How to Do Science in the Bathroom".

LadyTophamHatt · 09/10/2005 11:05

hocuspocusdiplodocus, it's thoses pesky DS3's isn't it??!!
