We are getting ds a load of Tomy Thomas Motorised rail and road stuff, a bob the builder duvet cover set, a Winnie the Pooh DVD and probably a Playbmobil set too, and some books.

My ds3 who will be nearly 3 at Christmas is probably going to get an ELC keyboard as he likes making music and our old one is broken, and a good Etch-a-sketch if I can find one as he is obsessed with those magic marker boards but we have two already. I always meant to get an Etch-a-Sketch for one of my children.
Anyone know where I could get a good one BTW?

But, we have to scrape around for ideas for ds3 because we have most things for a three year old boy already, eg train track, garage, cars, marble run, construction kits, play kitchen sets, play tools etc (other ideas for you).

Oh yes and a play doh extruder, thanks for reminding me Cod!

This year DS (3) will probably get a toy cash register (he loves playing shops), some dressing up stuff, some more legos and probably a motorised Thomas. He also likes those Shaker Makers. We did the Spiderman ones and he was so proud so maybe the Scooby Doo Shaker Maker in his stocking too.

Am loving this thread, and getting loads of ideas. It's still bizarre to me just what boys are into so it's good to get recommendations.
Can anyone tell me if the small lego sets are any good (ie the dora/bob ones) because I presume the bits would just get lost in our big bucket of lego from the charity shop and you can never make the things again?

LadyCodofCodford · 07/10/2005 13:23

yes they do

puppy · 07/10/2005 13:33

My DS (4 in feb) will prob be getting vtech smile console and another game togo with it, junior meccano, airport duplo, bob pj's, flashing light robot slippers, books, play mat for all his 100's of little cars

Bozza · 07/10/2005 13:34

But you can make the things again if you have a daddy who is good at lego and a very kind mummy who patiently wades through the lego while being attacked by your one year old little sister until she finds the little piece that is missing. At least this is DS's experience.
