Waht shall I do about a printer?

Life is getting silly now.

I had a lovely lazer printer but it suddenly stopped working about a year ago. It was low on toner but I can't beleive that would stop it altogether. Don't want to waste money on a new cartirdge though if its not going to work at all.

So DH brought me an old one home from work. A colour inkyet. That one seemed to be jammed and I never got it working.

So I borrowed my neighbours for a while but that was tempramental and after a few times stopped working.

So now there are no printers in any of the houses down here. I've been emailing stuff to DH at work but it always prints it out with his details at the top. Hardly a professional look for my invoices.

I'm fed up. I want to print. What should I do?
Do I try to get my old lazer one working. Have tried everything I can think of. Not sure its worth paying to have fixed. Wonder if I should just bin it to get it out of the way but seems wasteful.

Should I buy a new one of ebay. Seem to be lots of good deals on there but I'm a bit wary for some reason although I buy loads of other things on there.

Should I look for a good package as I'm thinking of buying the kids a PC for christmas.

Should I just go to argos/dixons or whatever?

Haven't got any money to spare on it really though but I am going mad without. Bit swamped by all the different versions on offer now. I suppose a colour one is best so I can use it to print photos for the kids. Any suggestions which one I should look for.

Oh what should I do?

I have just brought a fab printer (about 2 months ago) its an epson stylus cx6600 its not for photos or snazzy graphics work but its really good for B/W, hoemwork etc. - its never jammed, it does not conflict with the scanner anymore because it is the scanner, it photocopies and i love it!.

DH did not want it as he said it would do lots of stuff badly and nothing well but its just great for me
