I need to buy a second car seat for my daughter who is 2 years and 5 months for occasional use only. What would you recommend? age range to 6 years or to 11 with conversion to booster. I am not sure about the safety of booster seats. I would really welcome some advice as I am getting frustrated in my search! Thanks for your help.

Don't buy cheap just because it's only for occasional use. If cost is an issue, then there is a Britax seat that goes all the way from 5-point seatbelt toddler size, to 3-point belt full seat, to 3-point belt booster. It costs about the same as a good group 1 seat, but should last until she's big enough to sit on the ordinary car seat.
