dont think you can.

we ordered ours from argos, and went purely on looks - they are lovely imo!

errr nigh on impossible I think. We bought this settee from them last year and it's been really good - they send you the fabric swatch and tbh for the money it's great.

We use ours in the conservatory too - their customer service was good too, as the first one that arrived had a rip in it and they brought the new one in 24hrs!

You can't. You can check fabric swatches in store though.

We had the bogof leather ones about 18 mths ago and they are brilliant.

actually homebase and argos are the same company and stock mostly the same sofas (can check on their websites). our local homebase with a furniture department have them on display and you can sit on them

If it helps, my Dh works in the Argos Warehouse and can find out what the sofa is like for you! He's not working til Monday but I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He checked out our matress before we bought it to make sure it was soft but firm enough!!

lilibet · 07/10/2005 10:57

oooh - would he not mind?

this one

We want to know how comfy it is, is it one that you sink into or is it a bit more firm and could you lie down in comfort on the big one?

TA!!!!

Ours was on display in the store,so were really lucky that we got to try it out.

popadopalis · 07/10/2005 20:16

Nope he wouldn't mind. He'll check it out for you on Monday. I've shown him it but will show him again before he goes to work so he knows for sure!!

Popadopalis - if you see this before he goes could you please ask him how do the pads on the arms attach to the couch?

Ta!!

Probably not relevant - but I'm another one who bought an Argos suite which we never got to try out but is really comfy (am sitting on it now!)

CousinItH · 09/10/2005 19:29

Ooh, lil, it's microfibre so when you're not lying on it you can clean up with it

CousinItH · 09/10/2005 19:33

Also - I just scrambled around the site a bit - they do come with the standard 16-day money-back guarantee. So - I assume - if you happen to hate it you can send it back.

(Mind you the standard 16-day is "do not open it", not sure how that would apply to a sofa )

popadopalis · 10/10/2005 18:19

Right, sent Dh on mission and he tried to have a look for you but it wasn't there. However he says that most of the couches aren't huge, even the three seaters. He also said that if you didn't like it you can always do the 16-day money back thing. You can say it's not the right colour or wasn't a sbig as you thought or whatever. I think CousinItH has a good point though and you should check the small print about the 16 day thing before you buy. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.I had hoped Dh would have been able to see it for you.
