Funpod - worth getting?

I'm thinking of getting one for 12 m.o. DS who'll soon be standing independently so he can 'join in' at the worksurface when I'm cooking.

Any thoughts - positive or negative?

I'd not buy it new but there are lots around second hand. (I couldn't afford to buy it new! )

I suppose I was thinking that a Funpod would be safer - but I realised that's rather inconsistent of me given that I let DS play at the top of ungated stairs

I think I was under the impression it might reduce his obsession desire to lean over & reach for the cupboards - but that's probably wishful thinking.

A chair it is.
