I have to tell her exactly what to get

must be available from high st retailers

preferably postable as she clearly wont get off her arse and come and visit us

I have to tell her today apparently even though it is not dd2's birthday until Oct 19.

grrrrrrrrrr

I have just had a flurry of emails with my sister on this very subject!

My mum and sis are under strict instructions for Barbie & Me bendy doll and bed, but you already have these (grrrr).

What is the budget?

Barbie scooter from toysrus. DD was three last week and it's one of her favourite presents along with a bead threading kit and tinkerbell costume from disney shop.

Dressing up clothes might be a good idea as easily postable. Anything she/DD1 has already got that you can extend? Playmobil?

A basket of amazing gourmet wooden food from this site ?

They have wooden camembert! Wooden aubergines! Wooden fishfingers in a wooden packet! (I will go and have a lie down now)

What about something for her room? My dd was looking at room stuff from Urchin the other day in the catalogue - she liked the look of butterfly storage stuff, butterfly lamps and daisy lights. You could get her to order and pay by phone and then get it delivered to you to wrap?
