I'm sure I read somewhere that there is a hand wash available that you just squirt & rub hands together to clean them. Kind of an alcohol based thing.
I used it when I worked at the hospital lab.
Does anyone know where I can get it from/who makes it?
I've looked in Boots, Superdrug & Sainsburys, but can't find anything.

The stuff you want is called hand sanitizer ... am doing a search now to see if I can find anywhere in the UK that sells it.

GeorginaA · 02/09/2003 17:46

Try Brosch Direct Limited

I've no idea what the company is like - but just found they sell the stuff! Still looking for alternatives...

Sorry, that's the only place I could find. There must be more places that sell it though. It's quite popular in the States, I believe.

oooh georginaA that looks just like the stuff I used.
I might ask my friend who lives in the USA if she could get me some - providing no othere mumsnetters come up trumps for UK stockists

Does it have to make your hands spick & span or are you just talking about freshening up your hands before your picnic when there are no sinks?
If it's the former sorry I can't help you.
If it's the latter I got something for the hols in Savers but I believe M&S do one too. Hope this helps.

I have something by Cussons, called Carex antibacterial moisturisng hand gel, with Dermaclens. It doesn't need any water and fits in a handbag.

Bogwoppit · 03/09/2003 00:13

oh not spick & span, just b4 eating/ after nappy change when out. We cycle & hike so often no proper handwashing facilities en route.
I saw it in a magazine/read about it, but it's the usual story - nowhere is stocking it.
so whatever info you can pass on

Bogwoppit · 08/09/2003 16:29

Mustela make some, a bit overpriced though.
