Tall stairgates

Does anyne know whether you can get stairgates that are taller (about 33ins)The spindls at the top or our stairs are rounded so to get a stairgate to fit we need on about this height so it will reach the flat part of the spindle? Anyone any ideas?

If you look in the Argos book under petcare (i think) they do dog gates made by lindam which are exactly the same as the stair gares but are much taller. My friend has these right through every door frame in her bungalow as she has 2 dobermans and they can't get over them.

Its too tall now! Are bannisters must be an odd size, god how difficult is it to get astairgate! Its a nightmare! Thanks T and SS

We screwed a holding cup into the round part of a banister, then the end of the stairgate sat in that - IYSWIM.
