They normally have a mid season sale - probably due fairly soon.

Are you desperate to get it for Christmas or by a certain date i.e. birthday? I pop into my local L.A. regularly and could look out for it being reduced if that would help. Have you signed up to be notified by e-mail of their offers and sales? That's quite useful. Also, you can get seconds and discontinued stuff sometimes which is handy if you hanker after some material that's way too expensive at normal price. You rarely get seconds/discontinueds (sorry, not a real word, I know) in duvet sets though, but in material rolls which is fine if you want to make curtains or have a piece to make a gym bag/some cushions/etc with. Sorry, I'm waffling. Let me know if you want me to help.

No problem. I've just looked on the website and the Football fabric is 20% off, original price £13 per metre, now £10.40 per metre, product ref: 3240083, blue, 140 cm wide; Football Matt Vinyl Border is 30% off, Was £12 now £8.40, blue, size 17.6cm, product ref: 3240087; however the bedset is still the normal price of £40, ref: 3240147; cushions are now £12 each, down from £15, ref: 3240153. Did you want to do the whole room out or did you just want the duvet set? If the former and you're really not in a rush, you might want to get the fabric and/or accessories now and hope to get the duvet later when it is in the sale. I just rang a full price and seconds/discontinueds store which is about an hour away from me and they said that they don't have any football duvet sets reduced atm. The range is still fairly new (within about 12 months) and the big discounts are when they are going to discontinue the range and that varies considerably depending on the popularity of the range. I have before now been on the lookout for my dsis and I've rung her from Laura Ashley stores saying "What you want is now reduced to £x, do you want me to buy it for you?" That's what you need to do, really, give your tel no to several people and ask them to look out for it and ring you if they see it so that you don't have 3 people buying a set each for you on the same day! I think that 20% is a reasonable discount but I wouldn't blame you for hanging on a bit longer for the next sale or the one after. You could buy several metres and get enough material for cushions or a beanbag cover if you can make them up for yourself or have someone in the family who can do it for you. My MIL does it for me. Often you'll get the material at 50% off if it's in the offcuts box but you need at least a metre really in order to get enough material to make cushion covers out of it. It's very much the luck of the draw as to how large an offcut it'll be and the repeat of the pattern plays a large part, too. I'm waffling again so I'll go. P.S. I don't bother having account cover on my L.A. card any more. The faff of having to apply for a refund if the item is further reduced according to the terms and conditions makes it not worth it. It's worth having a card though as you get a free catalogue (though I usually manage to wheedle free catalogues from companies anyway!) I only intend in future to use the card for this purpose as I get cashback with my Visa card and I only get L.A. vouchers when I pay with your L.A. card. CAT me if you want to, btw. P.P.S. Sometimes (in fact, often) the reductions get greater towards the end of the advertised sale period. A case of holding your nerve if there's limited stock of anything.
