Where can I get some nice Christmas stockings?

For my girls I hasten to add, I can sort myself out on that front.

I want some that can become sort of heirlooms and brought out every year so don't mind paying a bit extra. Maybe more classic than not, they won't appreciate Tellytubbies/Fifi Flowerpot when 9.

I am so excited about sorting out my little Chistmas rituals, they are 3 (nearly) and 1 now and dd1 is just getting into Father Christmas etc.

xx

Have a look in Boots - I snapped up one from there yesterday. They're red felt with metallic snowflakes embroidered on them, and most importantly, are quite small. they don't feel desperately soft or luxurious but it's only once a year! It was £6.99.

Wigwambam,

I do believe you have contributed to a Christmas thread voluntarily.

My mum makes the family ones, they are large soft fleecy ones and have names stitched on in christmassy fabric. it isnt christmas without them up. shop brought ones seem really plain or tacky in comparision. I have had mine since I was about five or six, and my children all got them at their first christmas. shes in abit of a tizz over them right now actually as my baby is due on christmas day and shes worrying over making one in time without knowing the name in advance!LOL
i did see some gorgeous ones on line, let me think about where......was it shaker? it will come back to me honest, just have pg brain right now

Lakota · 04/10/2005 12:51

Red Direct have some lovely Shaker type patchwork ones for £15 here , or Great Little Trading Company has various felt ones including personalised (www.gltc.co.uk)
