We were in MFI yesterday and the kids bedroom display had lots of really high quality wooden toys in it! Ds fell in love with a big red London bus. You slide the roof off and there are lots of little wooden passengers inside. I took the name of the supplier from the label underneath and did a search.

And found it!

Its a wholesale company, but they sell retail too..... I'm just waiting for them to email me back with the price of the bus. Ds is going to be SOOOOOOO happy on Christmas morning.

Awww, bless him and you for going to all the trouble of sourcing the manufacturers .

I've tried to get DD into wooden toys, so much more aesthetically pleasing than primary coloured plastic, but alas she isn't buying into it. Grrr

Habitat were selling those buses last Christmas - they looked great!

Toothache · 03/10/2005 10:36

Cupcakes - DO you remember how much they were?

That looks so cool, do let us know when you find out the price?

Toothache · 03/10/2005 10:57

Honestly - Ds was just about hugging it!! The first thing he said to me this morning was "Mummy, are you going to check on the Computer now to see if Santa can bring me a bus?".

gosh - not sure how much they were. It was more than I could afford as an 'extra' present. Dh and I think they were £25 or so.

Fangache · 05/10/2005 16:30

Well I finally got the price.... and its...... wait for it.....

£50 including P&P!!!

But he rrrrrreally wants it and it is quite substantial! It will be his big present from Santa this year!

nicmum2boys · 06/10/2005 23:40

Just noticed this as I am trawling toy websites looking for DSs Christmas pressies this one (need to scroll down a bit)looks pretty similar to me, but is only £35, thought it might help .

Hiya
This might help - a friend of mine has this bus and got it from HABITAT - not sure how much but much cheaper than £50 I'm sure. They've stocked it for the past couple of years at least so give them a try.
HTH
