Astra w/ 3 car seats in back?

I have a 7 yr old, 5 yr old, and 3 wk old baby. Baby has maxi Cosy pebble w/ family fix base. We are not changing this seat/base. But am looking for two seats or boosters for older two which might fit into car. Currently 7 yr old sits in middle without car seat and 5 yr old sits in high back booster because I can not get three seats across the back. I wonder if there are narrower seats on the market for this purpose? I have looked and our arrangement is legal because two seats prevent a third from being fitted. But I'm noit really comfortable with it of there is an Orion to get a third seat into our astra.

Anyone else have an Astra and three kids? If so, what do you do?

I would re post in carseat secton. You could use one of these for the child in the middle, it will make sure the belt is in right place on your child. The other thing to try is putting the baby seat in different sides of the car.

The Britax Adenture is a narrow high back booster with side impact protection and doesn't have those arms that make it difficult to do the seatbelt up in a tight space. Very often on offer too.

My Mum has an Astra Sport and I also have 3 dcs now aged 8, 6 and 2. When dd was in her infant carrier, the only way we could get three in the back was with two of the narrow Graco high back boosters and a Graco Autobaby belted in without using the base unit. If we used the base unit, the Autobaby seat was too wide and clashed with the boosters.

All three fitted well with no buckle crunch etc.

Now dd is older and in the next stage seat, when they go in Mum's car the boys still have their Graco boosters and dd is in a Britax Prince, which was the narrowest fit of all the ones we tried. Its a bit of a pita to get your hand down the gap to plug and unplug the boys' belts, but there's no buckle crunch and all three are well fitted.

Certain Britax seats have narrower bases and are better for fitting three across for this reason. If you do a mumsnet search you can find out the best ones. (Sorry, I'd do it for you and come back, but I shouldn't be on here as it is.)

Also, if you go to either Mothercare or Halfords they will try any number of combinations of seats for you until you find a suitable fit.
