Hi ANy information on dance mats really appreciated. Looking for a 5 yr old girl. We don't have a playstation so I guess its a tv one (not really up on technology). Are they any good/what's the best etc etc. Welcome any thoughts.

I got DD one last christmas when she was 5 and she found it quite difficult to follow even though she does jazz and tap dance. I don't know about ones that plug into telly ours is PS2. I put it away after only being used a couple of times and will get it out when she is older.

There is a Brats dance mat that just plugs into telly £24.99 in Argos. On pg 1579 there are 2 other mats fot TV's as well at £9.99 and £19.99. The £19.99 is a double one so you can join in too .

This is the one dd has had since about 5yrs and she likes it very much (Still likes it now and nearly 7).

She's able to do it, but it's not babyish or too easy - seems ok for around 5yrs. We bought a more expensive one first which two people could use but it was far too complicated (I couldn't do it either, not that that's saying much!) and no fun; even Michael Flatley would've had trouble with it!

A friend had this one and dd loved it so we exchanged the hard one for this and it's been a big success. Plugs straight into the tv too.

Thanks everyone. For £10 the argos one for TV looks great, and if she's too young for it I haven't wasted much and can put away anyway. (Thanks Starlover but I think I need a TV one, computer not accessible for leaping around!).
